Shadows in Dust
Beyond our dreams, goals and strifein the twilight of our ebbing life
when our fragile earthen vessel is bent
our precious silver cord is utterly spent
we may look back to see what we lost
as we lie to rest in shadows in dust
Looking back to crossroads past on our path
those whispers that lead our trembling heart
the battle of good and evil raging everyday
threatens to blind our slippery hazy way
we may see all the good that was lost
as we lie to rest in shadows in dust
If we dare fight the good fight
in darkness we will shine like light
knowing no shame, sorrow or fear
exolting Him who to us is so dear
rejiocing in His love we are found not lost
as we lie to rest even in shadows in dust
