    SALVATION...

    Every morning when I wake
there's still that same old ache
     O God help me please
     I'm down upon my knees
I need you in my life
I need you in my soul
     Knowing that without you
     my life is never whole
    And with your inner light
    all my wrongs made right
    living just to learn
    about your self sacrifice
Every single thought, every word I say
is spoken just to honour your
    in every single way
I want you in my life
with you here by my side
when you're here with me Lord
    that ache is filled inside.
     Even when I stumble
     Even when I fall
     Your love is ever present
     Surrounding through it all
      I need you everyday
    through whatever comes my way
    your strength holds me up
    even when it rains
     Solid tho the nails
    through your hands and feet
    knowing that you suffered
    suffered just for me
     As the blood comes down
    from the thorny crown
    we look into your eyes
and the love that is there found
For beleivers that we are, you are never far
you are always there, the life within the prayer
On the 'morrow when I wake, I shall not be late
the first to open eyes, to see the new sun rise
My life no longer hollow, the soul no longer cries
because the love I have found, fills the ache inside.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
