    Russian Composers

    Shostakovich is too;

    just like that other

    bombastic.

    Why do Russian composers

    compose unharmonious explosions?

    Like Japanese manga and animation;

    there is too much light

    and too much dark

    for me to not see

    brutal heartstrings being pulled,

    mechanically.

    But they do trill well

    and that is worth a lot of pennies:

    sometimes the trill is worth it all.

    I like them. And like to write about them.

    The losers. And a bell sounds in the distance.

    A cannon goes off.

    Prokofiev I love you.

    But I still think Tchaikovsky was a hack. A lovable, bombastic hack.

    Alack.

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
