Paging You

Paging you.
Did you get my sms?
I sent you an e-mail.
Pick up the phone.
The world's a mess.

How long does the post take?
How long before some action
you make?
What's the ETA on solutions
from your end?
Did you hit the button?
Did you push 'send'?

I'll solve the problems
I can;
swatting them like flies
with a fan.
But we all need your
magnificent ways;
and we are just counting,
counting the days.

It's been so long
and for some
faith is gone.

So pick up the phone.
We're all calling you.
Are you home?
None of us likes to think
we're alone.

A nice original piece. I like how it ends, this whold be great in a card for a secretary on vacation.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
