Running with the Blues
I told you something,
Something, that wasn't right
When I told you, I remember,
Goodbye, on that night.
I think I said that,
We weren't right for each other.
And you probably thought that,
There must be some other.
The truth is I was just running,
Running with the Blues
Every night I wondered
What may have become,
If I hadn't taken,
The road that I've been on.
But the many things I've seen,
And the Lord knows what I've done,
In this life I've lived,
Wearing these traveling shoes.
But the truth is, I was just running,
Running with the Blues
Something, that wasn't right
When I told you, I remember,
Goodbye, on that night.
I think I said that,
We weren't right for each other.
And you probably thought that,
There must be some other.
The truth is I was just running,
Running with the Blues
Every night I wondered
What may have become,
If I hadn't taken,
The road that I've been on.
But the many things I've seen,
And the Lord knows what I've done,
In this life I've lived,
Wearing these traveling shoes.
But the truth is, I was just running,
Running with the Blues
