Mystical experience
It’s hard to express in common language
my inner experience with the Almighty;
it’s something deep within – my soul,
that a mystical encounter happens then.
It’s an interior monologue in silence,
as I remain attuned to the sacred force;
hanging on to him like encompassing,
making a difference in supplication.
At the very center of my focusing
lies the gift of listening to God’s word;
the gospel message about prayer
deepens more my concentration.
As I ponder on God’s revelation
like his Sermon on the Mount,
his human family, for instance,
shows us how our lives too,
should be human and Godlike.
Our journey in today’s world,
speaks volumes about temptations;
they’re villains and contradictions
to our every effort of sanctification.
Whenever I find a space for prayer
I readily grab the chance to be there;
to create the core of sanctuary within,
and allow God’s presence to remain.
The conundrum of my daily life,
brings seasons and rolls in any time;
overcoming obstacles is a challenge,
especially in my own spiritual life.
As I continue to dwell on God’s presence,
as my own centering struggles to be known
there’s an experience that makes me aware
that gift of Pentecost to be open to others.
A memory so powerful and revealing
when God allows you to experience
his mighty presence, his loving presence
with profundity, it’s a mystical experience.
my inner experience with the Almighty;
it’s something deep within – my soul,
that a mystical encounter happens then.
