Man in love vs. Boy in lust
Forget falling, she’s diving in face first, searching for sage words
I’m up on this stage contemplating what to say first
I see her crying now I’m stage diving try to find if I can save her
Screaming, "love is not a game so f#%k all you players!"
These cats are heartless so the cowards wanna play hers
Boys will be boys, a players gonna play, but men don’t play that way
So it’s safe to say she’s never been more than a crush
She’s never seen a man in love only boys in lust
Cause loves flame would burn these boys to dust
I hope she wises up
Stop giving them the heart to put the knife in,
Only driving her to tears so stop giving them the license
I sense she’s ready to start fighting
She wants to shine but it’s so dark where her heart is hiding
But the clouds are always dark before the lighting
She needs to be herself
If they hate then let ‘em hate, let ‘em say what they say
She needs a real man to be real with, stop being the pawn in their game
Boys will be boys, a player’s gonna play, but men don’t play that way
