List of Mysterious Things; 1.Portland
Waiting for the great machine
It sneaks up on you
Mousing to take your surprise
I’m Anticipating
I’m not tired at all
Quite the contrary
I want to be taken away for all eternity
To the smell of black coffee
Sidewalk quotes
And neon colored walls.
Rising high
Moving past the Vancouver train station
What matters anymore?
I could cut a hole in the wall
Just to feels the wind lick my fingers clean
Laughing I would realize
I’m headed to a city of nativity
Full of human made personification
Along with my own metaphor born body
Our similes will fit together like pieces of the sky.
Sweeping across my arm
Lazing in the direction to the array of books
How much time do I have again?
The City music speaks to me
Running into walls
Unfamiliar city
I’d like to get to know you better
I’ll pull you along through my hole in the wall
So I can keep a piece of you always
I’ll put you in my pocket
And take you out when I want to have an encounter
With a humid left shaft of the coastal region
Portland.
It sneaks up on you
Mousing to take your surprise
I’m Anticipating
I’m not tired at all
Quite the contrary
I want to be taken away for all eternity
To the smell of black coffee
