I cried

    I cried

    Tonight I cried about my life,
    about my love, about my loss.

    I cried for me, I cried for him,
    I cried for hope to be within.

    Hope kept me up, and brought me down;
    Hope smeared the faces all around.

    For when I hoped I also cried,
    knowing that my love had died.

    Now when I'm sad I think of him,
    and how it all became so dim.

    Now when I die I'll go to him,
    and we'll still be loving deep within.

    I really enjoyed your poem. It seemed like it really came from deep in your heart.

    Very sad poem. Well written. TS

    A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
