Humanity's last days....
I just don't know. She says to me.
I cannot divulge my mind.
Seems such an easy thing.
Maybe not we find.
Thus we blunder in the dark and seek our way.
We stub our toes and knock into things.
The batteries in the flashlight are dead.
I just bumped my head. Again.
But at least my eyes are open.
Would I see better with them closed?
I often wonder that.
But just don't know.
Inspiration.
Aspiration.
Lassitude is the new affection.
I wanted badly to love you more.
But I forgot.
I am worn out.
From the state of world affairs.
No trust anymore.
We no longer share.
It feels like greed and lust now hold sway.
What is left of us to save?
Spirituality is for sale.
In the temple as long ago.
When Jesus drove them out of his fathers home.
In a righteous rage.
Pastors on the T.V. Beg for coin.
While riding in their Limousines.
To meet hookers in alleyways.
Lord bring the rain.
Of flame.
Maybe there are enough of us.
To save this sinking ship.
I pray that this is true.
This cannot be all of it.
Our bills are due.
The interest keeps climbing.
So to the lifeboats!
Women and children first.
Let's save ourselves from us.
Sometimes we are a curse.
I am no one.
Just this guy who writes some verse.
I can be selfish just like you.
But which is worse?
To be human and to know it.
Facing who you are within.
Or to glorify yourself instead of God?
The gravest sin.
Maybe I am wrong but I try.
That too me is better than to die inside.
God help us now.
In this our darkest day.
For you saved Noah.
You delivered many in past days.
Your mercy is legendary as your love.
Rain it down on us now.
As manna from above.
Father we have lost our way.
Save us. In these , humanity's last days.
