For Tammi
They say patience is a virtue. I’m unsure if that is true. But for many years I’ve attempted to tenderly break through those cold stone walls you had to build in preservation of your heart. Through patience, trial and error I feel we could maybe make a fresh start. To build something we’ve never known and only longed for deep within. To truly trust someone with all our hearts. To find that worthwhile friend.
I want you. Not to dominate or control. You are no possession. I simply feel that you’re the one God’s made me wait for, oh so long. Our pain and suffering has defined who we’ve become. We are wiser now. So taking all our knowledge and experience we have gained. I implore you now, if you feel this. Don’t let it slip away. Take a chance on me. I swear to our Lord in heaven a solemn vow. I will never let you down. No hidden agendas or betrayals. I am too old for those games. They tire me and they bore me. I know you feel the same. I will not push you. I am waiting.
No one has ever touched my soul this way. I wrote this down this morning and prayed God would give me the words to say. I hope you hear me and believe me. I will work on gaining all your trust. I deserve to find a special love as certainly you must. We have both lost and learned. We’ve done our time in hell. Let’s consider a new chapter, will you help me turn the page? If so, I will read to you a story of learning, pain and love. Forged in the flames and hardened.
Tempered by God above. Our love can be hard as steel. No one can break it. What our father has brought together no one ever will….Let’s take our time and see, if this will be.
Meant to be. I cherish you with all my heart. Has any ever done the same? No ones ever loved me that way. Will you?
No matter the outcome I will be here a friend forever. That is the meaning I’ve finally learned. True love,
no matter what. Thank you for enriching my life.

First you must be best friends.
Then fall in love.
Then forget all that.
And be best friends again.
