Encased
The cold, rain beaded air wraps around me,
It never suffocates me,
I feel at peace, reassured,
At least i do noramally,
Desperately trying to lose myself,
In small insistent sounds,
Crackling of leaves,
Stirring of water,
Echoeing emptily through a word that spans on,
Empty yet choking,
I find myself drawing away,
Content to be on the inside looking out,
This simple life does not captivate me as it used to,
Not now that i've felt something else,
Lost in a spanning nothing,
No ground,
No sky,
No air,
Groping for the old things,
The familiar things,
sinking in despair,
The earth has stopped,
My heart has become frozen in an eternal winter
