Don't go in the Cellar
Always moving never knew where we’d go
One city to another how long we didn’t know
There’s me my Father and my Mother
There’s my little Sister my older Brother
Searching everywhere for just the right home
It is the early sixties how long must we roam
Mama then told us she found a house quick
It was really nice was made out of brick
There is an old woman she still lived there
We could live there free if of her we took care
Down into the cellar my Father would go
Put coal in the furnace she’d follow you know
She’d watch him like a hawk with her evil eye
See he touched nothing that nothing went awry
Rush him out of there didn’t want him there long
She acted strange like some things wrong
One day the police came asking many questions
Mother being angry gave many suggestions
The old woman wasn’t home on this very day
Mother told the police they have to go away
They want to search the house mother said “No.”
A “Search Warrant” made her let them go
They came in and searching everywhere
In the cellar is something frightening there
They broke through the walls made of red brick
Didn’t take them long it happened so quick
Buried in the walls seven little suitcases
Something horrifying by the look on their faces
The old woman had a daughter of her own
A lady of the night was very well known
She became with child to the cellar shed go
Bury the little baby thinking no one will know
What use to be a child within each little box
Was freed from their graves of these red blocks
After this grizzly find needless for me to say
Mother then decided its time to move away
Now if in the cellar you find yourself there
Take a look around before you have a scare.
One city to another how long we didn’t know
There’s me my Father and my Mother
There’s my little Sister my older Brother
Searching everywhere for just the right home
It is the early sixties how long must we roam
