    Counting Sheep

In my bed with tender care
    I began my bedtime prayer
Now I lay me down to sleep
    as I started counting sheep
I lay here counting one by one
anxiously waiting to get it done
Thought I saw the end of the line
comes the sheep one more time
Big ones Small ones thin ones too
some have eyes of baby blue
Some are grazing in the grass
some move slow some move fast
Some were yawning rubbing their eyes
    even made some little sighs
So I lay here counting the sheep
asking the lord my soul to keep
To keep me from losing my mind
surely my sleep I can not find
There must be some other way
I think the sheep are here to stay
    Oh, how sleep does resist
    there’s a sheep I think I missed
Lord, keep my soul in your care
help me find some sleep somewhere
If I should die before I wake
I know some sheep that will be stake
Now I lay here in suspence
they’re taking their time to jump the fence
If I die from counting sheep
I took this counting thing to deep
I prayed the lord my soul to take
counting sheep was a big mistake
Now fast asleep, what did I see
    all those sheep, counting me?

This was so entertaining. I enjoyed reading this alot and even got a few laughs out of it. Definitely one of my favorites. I'm sure I'll come back and read it again for another laugh. Good...great job.
