Courage!

I stare out of an open window
Into the great unknown
I grow anxious to fly out, go
Out into the open on my own

I'm staring out of a cage
I'm locked inside my own heart
I feel cold and afraid
I feel a world apart

Courage I need!
Courage, yes courage!
I may fall, I may bleed
But I still have hope

Fight, girl, fight!
Be brave, be strong!
Don't be discouraged because you are alone
You are more than you think
You are beautiful and tall
And though you think you will sink
You will rise above it all

I stare at an open window
Empty inside
I am out in the great unknown
Spreading my wings to fly
I have gone out, I have gone!
Out into the open on my own

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
