Backstabbed by love

When I said I loved you, I meant it...
When I gave you my heart, it was forever...
When I made love to you it was with a passion...
When I held you it was with compassion...
When I watched as you drove away, my knees weak, my heart closed away.. Tears stained my face as I watched my life fade into the gray.
So many years wasted, so many tears I've tasted... I hide away in my own little world, where no more hatefull words are hurled... No more pain caused by broken promises, no more feelings at all... I sit and I dwell in a place called hell... My heart beats only to sustain, the war of love has left its stain.....

thanks so much!!

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
