A Silent War

A Silent War

Silence never spoke so loud.

Like she was screaming at me,

her feelings were made clear.

The room so cold my tears froze,

no sign of how I felt showed.

My emotions locked away,

behind an inner wall of stone.

Battling to be in plain sight,

being forced to remain imprisoned.

The war rages on and on,

with no one winning.

We both lose.
