You Never Know
You never know…
Meetings are chance,
it just takes a glance.
Somebody you meet
though the chance may be fleet.
And then they may know
though the feelings don’t show.
The impact may be
what you can’t see.
But it’s real nonetheless
more than you guess.
You never know when you’ll come into someone else’s life.
Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
