    Without You

As old doors close, new doors open.
perspectives change and people do too
No one knows my heart you were holdin
it will never be the same here without you.

I fell victim to your love and affection.
who knew the path it would lead
Showing me a false sense of direction
you had me begging on my hands and knees.

I truly would have done anything
to keep it from falling apart.
I would have sacrificed it all and gave you everything
if you could have loved me from the start.

You told me you loved me but you were lieing.
You told me you were happy but you were crying.
You gave up everything instead of trying.
Now without you, I'm slowly dieing.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
