    Guilty Conscience

The pressures of a burdened mind equals the knowledge of deceit.
Mistakes of the guilty kind will keep a sinner on his feet.

Quick to the punch and always on his toes.
The pain is just such how much longer can he hold?

Buckling under the pressure, sighing under his breathe.
How can you begin to measure how much life is left before death?

Can I continue to hold out, how much longer can I wait?
I think I can see the light with my last breathe I will say..........

hi I'm new to here and I believe this is a deep poem that I can relate to. thanks for posting it.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
