Winter Blues
Bitter cold winds
Whip against pelted fur,
Darkness deep
And unending;
The endless fray
Of winter’s chill
Lifts wolf howls
To mortal ears.
Unyielding snow
Against a mountainous incline
Blanketed beautiful wonderland.
Moonlight lightens
The pitch-black sky
Evasive beams
Of the harvest moon;
Listen to winters
Musical tune.
Brother wolf
Come with me now,
Run into the howling winds of night.
Bring down the hunt,
Relish the kill,
Call to the night
Sing to the night.
And within the darkness
Bring forth your light.
