    Winging My Way to You

    Winging My Way To You

The clouds are white the sun so very new,

I’m flying high above the earth

I’m winging my way to you

This is so exciting almost like a new birth.

The sky lays before me oh so blue,

The clouds below look like cotton balls.

My dear I’m winging my way to you

Such a short span of time and yet so true.

I feel just like a kid her first day at school

My  hands are shaky and my tummy too.

But my heart is on a straight path to you,

Never more sad and alone, never more blue.

They say we will be in Baltimore soon,

And a quick rest while I anxiously wait.

My flight to a new place and you,

Soon my love we will meet at fates gate.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
