Where Do Broken Hearts Go
I’d climb the highest mountain
And ride the stormy sea,
I’d crawl through raging fire
To have you here with me.
I’d wrap my arms around you
And soothe away your pain,
A mother’s love, so tender
‘Til you can love again.
A broken heart is fragile
Needs nurturing and care,
From the one who wont desert you;
Is a special bond we share.
When you were small I’d pick you up
And place you on my knee,
To tend to all your bruises
Before I set you free.
I’d dry your eyes and raise a smile
As very soon you’d see…
The pain you felt was not so bad
Whilst you were on my knee.
I’m always here to guide you
And help you carry on,
To keep you safe beside me
‘Til the pain you feel is gone.
Be thankful for the love you felt
And the time you had together…
For treasured memories you both share
Will remain with you for ever.
A mother’s job does never cease
It lasts a whole life long;
I’m praying now with all my heart…
For my baby to grow strong.
So darling when you feel the loss
And pain too much to bear;
Just wrap your arms around yourself
And instantly… I’m there!
