Sanctuary

Poem Commentary

Having recently been inspired to write poetry, this latest piece just about sums up my feelings!

Sanctuary

I’ve found this place inside my head,
Where I record my thoughts in rhyme.
It really is, a delightful place,
And while's away the time:
The words transpire and then they flow,
Like music to my ears.
It offers me a sanctuary
And erases all my fears.

I cherish this place inside my head,
All cosy and surreal;
The words appear and then they write,
An expression of how I feel…
So when I’m wretched in despair,
And life doesn’t treat me kind.
I’ll venture to that little place
To see what words I find!

may feel like that but it is more that a place to chill,it is ur soul inspired with the passion of sanctuary and so we call it poetry..this piece is the master piece of why we write,,this is how it all break down..

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
