    When I Sleep

When I Sleep you are there
Feeling of longing oh so clear
You are right in front of me
    And I feel your love
Excitement I feel in every inch of my body
    It was meant to be
How can something that feels so right
    Not be
But you never come to me
    You are just there
    Then feelings of hurt, loss
    Come over me
    Suddenly I wake
    With the knowledge deep
    In my heart
    That we will never be
So I tell myself you already know this
    So stop and let go
    Then you are there
    And I feel your love
Excitement I feel in every inch of my body
But you never come to me
    When I Sleep…

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
