    Lost Love?

    What once was
    Can never be
    To see you now
    Its amazing
    To remember something
    I thought you forgot
    To relieve yesterdays
    I will not
    For you don’t know me
And I never really knew you
    You went your way
    I went mine
    All that there is now
    Is the time
    That we didn’t have
    So what we have now
    Is a memory
    A fond feeling
    Of what might have been
    Is that enough?
No, it will have to be enough

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
