    What you do

You tried to push me away,
which only made me fight to stay.
You warned me not to be your friend,
but I was much more then that in the end.
You tried so hard to make me see,
but I knew with you I wanted to be.

You showed me how you really looked,
just one glance and I was hooked.
You finally broke down and gave in,
but only to one battle I wanted to win.
You vowed to always keep me from harm,
protectiveness was part of your charm.

You wouldn't take what I offered to you,
it was just something you couldn't do.
You loved me so much the way I was,
but it hurts to touch me I know it does.
You are much stronger then you think you are,
but I haven't given up this battle by far.

Wonderful and descriptive. You put a lot of emotion and work into this poem. Great Job.

I love the words of a strong, independent lady. Assertive, knows what she wants and goes after it. Great write.
