    VOID

I plan to walk into the sun
and spread my arms and fly
Looking for the joy I lost
    when you made me cry.

This ole heart is beating slow
    and running out of steam
No longer free to carry on
the thing I use to be.

If I had known about you then
    I would have walked away
From the pain you feel inside
and the thing I couldn't say

Now we're alone one more time
    looking to redeem
    The things we felt yesterday
    when our souls were clean.

    Slip into the water now
    and drift with the sky
Close your eyes , remember us
and our love will never die

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
