    Lonely

I know what it's like to be lonely,
But I feel I'm the one and only.
    The despair runs so deep,
Takes my breath when I sleep.

Crying but the tears won't flow,
    Slowly it's taking my soul.
Please Lord won't you let me die,
So today I can look you in the eye.

With a touch you'll heal my pain,
And the throbbing in my brain.
Maybe then I'll have peace of mind,
And it's love I will find.
    If not I'll just die,
And all of it was a lie.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
