    Two Hearts

Two hearts stepped forth, to see this world,
they were beaten to the corner, shivering and curled.
Shaken by violence, or maybe just thought,
they stood and learned, from the lesson just taught.

    Standing there, repolishing their shine,
they take a step, finding they're three behind.
Running faster, to get back in flow,
they're tripped again, giveing them even further to go.

Standing once more, they see each other,
and the endless horizon, bathed in color.
Looking back to the flow, seeing it's insanity,
they watch as technology slowly eats humanity.

The crowd moves on, the hearts make home,
realizeing there was a reason that they were slown.
To be there where hope and love, still lived on,
long after the darkness of judgement was gone.

I really like this poem...cool wording and nice flow...

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
