Tormented Souls

Poem Commentary

This poem is about a dear friend who can't seem to get pass his tormented childhood.
He wears it well like and old comfortable shoe that he can't seem to through out.
Many will come and go, some even say that he uses it to reason why he is the way he is.
That is why you will always see a million goodbye in his eyes.

Tormented Souls

Tormented Souls, looking into their eyes you will actually see a million good-bye's.

Legs and hands no longer bound but brains in chains full of pain.

Able to hide from the world but not from the ones who come to know them well.

Some are able to free themselves, for a day, a week, even a month.

Tormented souls I'm sure you will encounter, love them, hold them but not to tight for they will take flight, and most of all hold them accountable, demand respect so that you don't end up like all the rest.

'Tormented souls, looking into their eyes and you will actually see a million good-bye's

I see what you mean about the similarities to my poem. How sad that so many people know someone like this. You are a good friend to notice this about them and the writing must have been very good for you. Have you showed this to them? Just curious. Maybe they will be grateful someone noticed the despair. Very nice poem, keep writing!

I like this poem...It kind of hit home..I knew a girl that commited suicide...She was so tormented inside, You could look into her eyes and it was like you were looking right through her...It was like she was hollow inside...She left a note when she killed herself, It said, "When the darkness came, I had to end it and end it fast" She was tormented inside...But kept it all to herself...people like this you can see almost into their souls...

You hit the nail on the head. Some things just never go away and some hearts just cant deal with the agony on their face or in their eyes. Nice work, good insight. Write on.....

This poem is all that you defined it as, and much more:-) "Tormented soul's, looking into their eyes and you will see a million good-bye's" How deep is this line:-) Very!
