    The Lone Wolf (Part Two)

She wanders lonely in the night,
    Desperately searching for her mate,
She feels him near but not in sight,
    She searches for her fate.

She is destined to be by his side,
She searches for her mysterious one,
Glorious fate has made her his bride,
She can't stop until the search is done.

    She is not frightened,
She has admired him for years,
    She is well enlightened,
Not finding him is her only fear.

    She continues path after path,
She must find her true lover,
    Or face her hearts wrath,
For her there is no other.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
