The Circle Of Life
Death looms above us, below us, and around us,
It fills me with disgust,
It takes the ones we hold dear,
Yet they're still here.
Memories of loved ones remain,
Taking tears and fears to drain,
Searching for solitude,
Feeling the need as though it were food.
The Grim Reaper knocks at our door,
We don't know when, why, or what for,
We live our lives day to day,
And slowly go our own way.
Destiny slowly takes hold,
As we age and grow old,
We watch our children grow,
We share what wisdom we know.
The loved ones who care,
Discuss the love they share,
We look for age old answers,
As we watch life's many dancers.
We live our lives day to day,
As we slowly fade away,
Even as the spirit begins to lie,
We discover true love never dies.
