Do You Remeber When....?
Everywhere i go it's all the same,
I turn around and there stands an old flame,
They seem to have fond memories at the mention of my name,
Even when they know i don't feel the same.
They walk up and say,
"Do you remember the old days?"
You know the days we thought would never end,
The ones spent laughing and joking with friends.
The days when passion was unbridled,
No one actually walked we all sidled,
The days of swimming late into the night,
Shimmering bodies in the moonlight.
The days when you got the feeling of bliss,
From one simple little kiss,
The days when your whole body flushed,
At the warmth of your special someones touch.
The days of laying side by side,
With your arms and heart open wide,
The days when you thought you'd die,
If a guy walked past without saying hi.
So these days when an ex says "you remember when,"
I think to myself and flash a mischevious grin,
Yes i remember when i really do,
I remember when just not with you.
