    The Crosses of Life

Every man has his own cross to bare in life
it may be some misdeed he has done
Somebody he once wronged, but ever man has his cross
Whatever road he may travel, rich or poor
ever man has his own cross to bare in this life
the stories are never the same, but we all feel the pain
passenger aboard the same train, faces with no name
trying our best to hide the shame
the masks we wear reveal no pain
lying to ourselves but only in vain
cause ever man has his own cross to bare in this life
soldier on a battlefeild, some become casualty under the weight
of their load, some survive but only living day by day
cause ever man has his own cross to bare in this life
and even thou we walk daily bearing our
    Crosses of life...

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
