    Tattooed

    Pain, to pride.
    a peice of my soul,
gaze inside or judge from the outside,
wear my mind on my skin, conversations begin,
    strangers become friends,
    inquire and pretend,
    to comprehend.
    Understand and relate,
    rapport is made,
    respect is paid.
    I yearn for the sting,
    the ink to set in,
my leg, or arm, the canvas, that is warm,
    so much satisfaction,
    from bodily harm

Definitely love this. My favorite line is 'wear my mind on my skin'. That's exactly why I love tattoos. Kudos again D.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
