Motivation

Never seem to have enough,
Constantly moving is so tough,
want to lie still
until my body can fill,
with the energy,
thats moving me,
balance my wants,
with what I choose to be.
Stress my unaccomplishments,
try to speed up my responsiveness,
work and work
try and try
until it hurts and hurts
and I cry and cry.
motivation,
time wasting,
wish I could be replacing,
goals with vacation,
stagnation and contentment,
bringing suffocation and resentment,
need to get to somewhere
that Ive never went.

Sometimes in life we feel like a car spinning its wheels on a patch of ice and don't seem to be going anywhere, but if we hang in there and keep the faith everthing works out in its proper time.Thank you for sharing this very powerful and moving poem. Terry

seems you have read my mind . . . . . there is nothing like being somewhere you've never been

Simple, short, sweet---

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
