Surface
I'm trapped herein what I wish we could still be
forever falling into
an atmosphere of misery.
Can't find my way out
always trapped inside
I guess this is what has become
of Brandi Deacon's life.
Forgetting who we are
where we came from, who we'd be
there's something out there,
but it's not enough for me.
Surfacing sadness
this pain that life contains
settling with the less
of all that remains.
Cannot reach the surface
gasping for air
dreaming of your face
in the memories, so fair.
All of them were fake
like the love we once basked in
I guess where some endings start
Others will begin.
Forgetting who we are
where we came from, who we'd be
there's other options out there
but they're not enough for me.
