    Somewhere In The Middle

    Black or white.
    No shades of grey.
    No door #3.
    Guilty or not guilty.
    What do you plea?
    Your court won't allow
    "nolo contendre'".

    Self defense?
    Protection?
    Insanity?
    No excuses. No reasons.

    Judge and jury
    You show no mercy.
    Your way or no way.
    Right way, wrong way.
    Nothing in between.
Is your life so perfectly structured?
    So wonderfully decisive?
If you open your mind ~
    open your eyes~
    you will find what lies
    somewhere in the middle

    is me.

I like this poem alot.Life is filled with lots of gray and you capture that here very well. Nice job.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
