Seeing Fantasy in Reality
As a bird
Flies across the sky
I see a dragon
I watch it fly
I see its reflection
In the stream
Of trickling water
A wonderful dream
As a horse
Shows the tricks it knows
I see a centaur
With his arrow and bow
He runs and he leaps
Over the forest ground
But yet I hear nothing of hooves
Not a sound
As a frog
Sings by the pool
I see a nymph
Her skin like a jewel
Her voice is an angel’s
And her beauty unique
As I try to talk
I find I cannot speak
As a fish
Swims on its way
I see a mermaid
As her tail sways
She brushes her hair
With a comb made of shells
She has coral in her hair
And watery secrets she tells
As a butterflies
Flutter around
I hear the fairies laugh
As they fly over the ground
They are pretty in clothes
Of petals and leaves
They sing as they fly
And they make me believe
My mind is seeing
These creatures and fantasies
But what would you see
I you heart believed me
Would you see dragons or mermaids?
Maybe a fairy or two
But it always is depending
The one who sees is you
