    SCREAMING

    REMEMBER THAT TIME?
    THATS RIGHT..YOU WEREN'T THERE.
    HOW ABOUT THOSE SCARS?
NO OF THAT YOU WEREN'T AWARE.
WHAT ABOUT THOSE TEARS I CRIED
CUZ HE RAPED ME ON THAT BEACH?
NOW I REMEMBER THATS THE NIGHT YOU
TOLD ME TO LET YOU GO BACK TO SLEEP.
WHAT ABOUT THAT PARTY THAT YOU MADE
    HIM GO TO?
DID YOU KNOW HE BEAT ME ON THE WAY
    HOME?
CUZ SUPOSEDLY I WAS STARING AT ANOTHER
    DUDE.
REMEMBER THAT TIME HE SHOWED UP AT MY WORK
    WITH FLOWERS IN HIS HANDS
    WITH THAT EVIL SMIRK.
YOU TOLD ME TO STAY WITH HIM CUZ HE WAS A
    GREAT GUY.
YOU WOULDN'T EVEN LISTEN WHEN I TRIED TO
TELL YOU THAT I CRIED MYSELF TO SLEEP EACH
    AND EVERY NIGHT.
    DID YOU READ THAT LETTER?
THE ONE THAT SAYS I HAD TO BE WITH HIM TILL
    I DIED?
MUST HAVE NOT GOTTEN THAT MEMO
MAYBE YOU HAD SOMETHING MORE IMPORTANT
TO DO THEN TO SAVE YOUR DAUGHTERS LIFE.
YOU NEVER WERE ONE TO LISTEN
NO FOR ME YOU DIDNT HAVE THE TIME
YOU SAID DO EVERYTHING HE ASKS
WITH THAT EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT.
BET I GOT YOUR ATTENTION NOW
SINCE IM SLEEPING IN THIS GRAVE YARD TONIGHT.
    THAT GREAT GUY
    HE'S BEHIND BARS
SEEMS HE WASN'T SO GREAT AFTER ALL
THEY DIDNT EVEN SHOW MY FACE
CUZ WHAT HE DID WAS TOO GRAPHIC
    YOU WOULDN'T EVEN RECOGNIZE ME
AIN'T THAT A DAMN SHAME, ITS TRAGIC
    SEEMS EVERYBODY WOULD BE DISTURBED
IF THEY FOUND OUT WHAT REALLY HAPPENED.
I WAS JUST TRYING TO WALK OUT THE DOOR
SEEMS HE WASN'T GOING TO HAVE IT.
    NOW I SEE YOU CRYING
WONDERING WHERE IT ALL WENT WRONG.
HOW DID YOUR BABY GIRL END UP BEING A
    VICTIM AFTER ALL?
    YOU WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND
NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW THE TRUTH.
I JUST HOPE ONE DAY YOU REALIZE ALL THE
    HELL I WENT THROUGH.
WHEN YOU NEED SOMEONE THE MOST
IT SEEMS THEY ARE NEVER THERE.
    LISTEN TO THE SILENCE.
CAN YOU HEAR THE YOUNG GIRL SCREAMING
    SOMEWHERE OUT THERE?

Wow, I really enjoyed your testimony and I am glad you have an outlet now to let all of you hurt and pain out, I just want to commend you not giving up and I can relate to what you have been through only the difference was my mother was over protective and in my sneaking out I found myself in compormising positions that I was not able to get out of and was too shame to share with my parent that all of what she was trying to protect me from i ended up experiencing. What does not kill you makes y

Ouch, that made me cry. My daughter is 16 and lucky I let her go out the door. I can't ever imagine ever overlooking such horrible trauma to her. Hell, if someone even raised their voice to her I'd probably beat them myself. =) I heard you!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
