    FIRE

FIRE BURNING INSIDE OF YOUR BRAIN.
FROM ALL THE PAIN THAT YOU CAUSED HER.

    TODAY,
YOU FIND YOURSELF REMEMBERING THE WAY
    HER DARK BROWN HAIR
    WOULD BLOW IN THE WIND
THE WAY HER MAKE UP MADE HER LOOK SO FLAWLESS.
HER EVERY MOVE WAS PERFECT LIKE A DANCE.
FOR SOME REASON YOU GAVE HER UP FOR A CHANCE
WITH SOMEONE YOU THOUGHT WAS BETTER.

    SO.

    RIGHT NOW,
    THE BURNING IS DEEPENING.
ITS REACHED YOUR HEART AND YOU CAN BARELY BREATHE.
REMEMBERING THE WAY SHE MADE YOU FEEL.
KNOWING THAT AT ONE POINT IT WAS REAL.
HER LOVE WAS STRONGER THEN THE WAVES
    CRASHING AGAINST AN OLD BOAT.
TEARING IT APART WITH EVERY STROKE
OF PAIN ENGULFED BY THE SEA.
THE LAST THING YOU HEARD FROM HER
    WAS HER QUESTIONING, BEGGING YOU
ASKING WHY CAN'T YOU JUST CHOOSE ME?

    SO.

    TOMORROW,
YOU WILL WAKE UP THE SAME LONELY MAN.
WHO GAVE HER UP JUST FOR A CHANCE.
YOU WISH YOU COULD TAKE IT ALL BACK.
ONCE YOU REALIZE THE PAIN HAS TAKEN A TOLL
ON YOUR BODY AS A WHOLE
EVERY LIMB IS SORE WITH REMEMBERANCE
    OF HER
EVEN IN YOUR DREAMS YOU CAN NOT ESCAPE
    THE MEMORIES.

    AND.

    IN TIME,
SHE HAS LEARNED FROM HER MISTAKES.
SHE LEARNS HOW TO HEAL EVERY DAY.
SHE KNOWS THAT YOU WILL MISS HER.
AND THE PAIN WILL FADE AWAY WITHIN TIME
HER SMILE SHE WILL SOON FIND.
YOUR FACE DISAPPEARS LIKE THE NIGHT.
SHE NO LONGER DREAMS OF YOU COMING BACK
    INTO HER LIFE.

    BUT.

    YOU,
WILL ALWAYS FEEL THE FIRE BURNING INSIDE OF YOUR BRAIN.
FROM ALL OF THE PAIN THAT YOU CAUSED HER

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
