Pen Pal

Bet you could tell me how many tiles make up the ceiling in your home.
Or the stories people tell as they walk past your room when you’re alone.
I see the wheels are turning around, not only to move your chair.
Many questions must consume you, but is anybody there?
The crowd has many faces….they fill the room’s void,
But will anyone listen to you? You’re getting really annoyed.
Friend when it seems you are alone….believe me you are not isolated.
Jesus is with you at this very moment, He understands why you’ve hated.
Know that I am praying for you, but more so pray for me!
That I will make time to visit you, that I will begin to see.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
