“Go Fishing!”
I feel Your hands and see Your face….You warm me with Your Son.
All I want for the rest of my life – You and me to be One.
Yet as the wind blows across my lips and changes the look of my hair
I hear the words so loud and clear, “Child, go fishing down there.”
But the mountain top’s so beautiful; I can almost touch the sky!
The valley seems so far away…Must I go? Please tell me why?
Just trust me little one and hear my voice, I’ll show you the way there.
Hold my hand and don’t ever let go, of this you must be aware:
Many people have died on the mountain top; greed holds them in their place
As hunger consumes their weakened bodies….pain floods their face.
For only in the valley can the choicest fruit be found.
You must go and plant my seeds after I have plowed the ground.
Then take some time to cast a line, be sure you have the proper bait.
Feed them from the Word of God, teach them Romans 5:8
And when the sun has finally set and your bones ache from reaping the crop….
Open your eyes in the Morning Son to fin yourself back on the mountain top.
