    Nuts

    Scantly clad ideas
    Sipping milk from
    My reservoir;
    I'm your thief.
    My daily desire,
    To take your breath away.

    Seems like only yesterday
    Huffin' and puffin' up Washington ave.
    Speedin' on my mighty huffy.
    Now I'm huffin' and puffin',
    As you love me.
    Where does the time go?

    Unemployment has fired my ambition.
    I martyr the idea of being smarter
    And let seconds gain, dumb am i.
    I need some brains.

    I am admittedly opposed to complimentary pleasantries, but I was surprised to see this after reading you first poem. An obvious gain in fluidity and artistic expression.

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
