Should I feel wrong for being me?Should it matter how I choose my destiny?Should I be judged here on this earth?
Damn! I think I've been judged from date of birth.
I am my mother's child PROUD as can be.
Always hearing look at that cute "Black" baby.
How sure can I be to see Mommy all White?
Damn should my skin look like hers? Is this right?
Do I belong here where I've been placed?
Never really realized we had the same face!
Same eyes, same nose, damn even down to the toes.
My PRIDE, My hair, My nails still grow.
I'm a beautiful woman inside and out.
Why always walk around with a pout in doubt?
On my pretty face the pain still shows.
Why I feel this way no one really knows .
Try to talk it out, I get so angry. Always have the Question..
Of damn why ,me?God puts you exactly where he wants you to be
Thankfully thinking I am what he made me.
    A woman of diversity,
    As the stars still shine
Damn all of a sudden I love my Black behind !
I am somebody I say to myself continously....Somebody!!! Can you freakin HEAR ME?
Don't worry I may have feelings and get a lil emotional.
Never will I get so confrontational...Use what you got to get what you need...And I mean getting down on ya knees...
Pray a lil and you'll see eventually God will uplift and provide abundantly.....

I love the poem!! o and thanks for the comment :)

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
