Love Kills

Love Kills

I trusted the first guy
And got hurt oh so rude.
So I learned not to trust,
Although that's very crude.
I play the game
Because it's play or be played.
Be suspicious of everyone,
Every minute of everyday.
Play or be played...
Cheat or be cheated...
Listen with your eyes...
Be confident, conceited.
Choose your guys wisely.
Don't hurt an innocent one...
But hunt and kill the guilty.
Let love be the gun.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
