    Poem Commentary

I don't believe in God, but for some reason today at work I got the last 4 lines of this poem in my head and felt the need to write this.  Strange how things happen.

    Lost

    I'm a lost lamb,
    In a world of sheep,
    Nowhere to turn,
    No time to sleep
So many ways to be led astray,
So many chances to look away
    If you're there,
    Please guide my way,
I can't figure this life out,
    I can't wait another day,
To know the meaning to my life,
    To know where I'm going,
Should I give in to doubt,
    Or trust the all knowing?
    If you guide my hand,
    I can't feel it
If you show me the way,
    i don't see it

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
