Choices

I feel this gentle breeze,

rustle through my hair,

It brings me to my knees,

it's all too much to bare

The time moves so slowly now,

My heart begins to race,

I don't know what I'm doing here,

But all I see is your face

The choice I've made is here,

It was so simple before,

But looking down it seems much too hard to ignore

I cannot figure out,

which of us is colder,

This stone I rest upon,

Or what's beating in my chest,

The tears come so easily,

As easy as it was for you,

To give up all that we had was true,

I hope you regret this, I hope that you'll miss me, but I won't hold my breath

The choice I've made is here,

It was so simple before,

But looking down it seems much too hard to ignore

I feel this gentle breeze,

rustle through my hair,

It brings me to my knees,

it's all too much to bare

The wind is now my safety,

The ground's no longer there,

The choice is made so quickly,

It's all too much to bare,

My heart no longer beats for you,

It doesn't beat at all,

You'll never see my face again,

Sometimes the greatest release comes from the fall
