Lost Within

Lost Within

From youth was I taught
Salvation would descend from the sky
Never understanding true salvation
Lies within you and I

For the one true Creator
Willed it should be
His Holy presence
Be made manifest in thee

Six dispensations of time
Satan's sons would lord over mine
For captivated by a lovely face
I slipped and fell from Holy grace

Down into this mad human race
6000 yrs., without parole, to face
Both heaven and Earth did I create
A would be Lord, I tripped on my own fate

My eyes are fighting
Struggling with my mind to see
All the many false illusions
Satan places in front of me

Born in fleshly perfection
Defiled by my own sin
I'm rounding the turn
Back to where the cycle begins

360 degrees
I've been around
A Sun of God
Once lost, now found

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
